What is the MLOps Community?

apply(conf) - Apr '21 - 10 minutes

The MLOps community started in March 2020 as a place for engineers and practitioners to get together and share their knowledge about operationalizing ML. Since its inception, it has morphed into a community of more than 3k members with an array of initiatives ranging from podcasts, meetups, reading groups, open office hours and Engineering Labs. In this talk Demetrios and Ivan will go through some of the greatest learnings from interviewing hundreds of MLOps practitioners to explaining the hands-on MLOps initiative; Engineering Labs.
Demetrios Brinkmann

MLOps Community

Demetrios Brinkmann is one of the main organizers of the MLOps community and currently resides in a small town outside Frankfurt, Germany. He is an avid traveler who taught English as a second language to see the world and learn about new cultures. Brinkmann fell into the Machine Learning Operations world, and since, has interviewed the leading names around MLOps, Data Science, and ML. Since diving into the nitty-gritty of Machine Learning Operations he felt a strong calling to explore the ethical issues surrounding ML. When he is not conducting interviews you can find him making stone stacking with his daughter in the woods or playing the ukulele by the campfire
